July 'Toe tapping' 

Dance in Devon is the countrywide dance development agency for Devon. They firmly believe in the benefits of dance to health, general wellbeing and quality of life. They run projects with children and young people, older people, community groups and their website has full details of the ways you can get involved by:

  • joining a regular dance class in one of over 20 styles
  • taking part in a workshop run by an experienced dance practitioner
  • taster sessions held at festivals and events like Exeter Respect

Their Vision is to create a county where people's lives are enriched and energised through dance. Their Mission is to inspire, celebrate and develop high quality dance that benefits the people of Devon and beyond.

Friday 16th July 2011 - 7.30pm - The Plough Arts Centre, Torrington
Dance Performance Platform for Young People

Once again Dance in Devon are supporting The Plough Arts Centre to offer a great youth dance performance opportunity. Last years performance gave an opportunity for 90 young people from the area to show contemporary, street and break dance to each other and to a public audience. once again there will also be a piece performed by young people who will be spending a week on WORK-X - a dance experience week at The Plough led by a young contemporary dance graduate.
