Consortium for Continuing Professional Development in Aerospace (CPDA), University of Bristol and University of the West of England

The Bristol and West of England Consortium for Continuing Professional Development in Aerospace (CPDA) is a national professional development scheme aimed at graduates with substantial industrial experience. It was established in 1991 by the University of the West of England and the University of Bristol, which act in partnership with 65 aerospace organisations.

The aims of the CPDA are to:

  • Develop the professional capabilities of engineers and managerss
  • Enhance technical and business awareness
  • Prepare staff for roles within key functions in the industry
  • Enable staff to obtain a higher academic qualification
  • Enhance the competitiveness of the aerospace industry with a quality professional development scheme, tailored for the specific needs of the industry
