Agrifood Centre, University of Plymouth

The Agrifood Centre was established in 1995 at the University of Plymouth and incorporates the Regional Food Technology Transfer Centre (RFTTC) for the South-West in association with DEFRA. The Centre specialises in the information, training and continuous professional development, consultancy and research needs of the agrifood sector.

The Agrifood Centre has considerable expertise in the areas of:

• Engineering
• Environmental science and technology
• Land use and rural management
• Food science and technology
• Nutrition and dietetics

This expertise is backed up with top class facilities including chemical and microbiological laboratories, a computer suite, conference and training rooms and a food processing laboratory.
