The new Countryside and Community Research Institute (CCRI) represents a unique partnership between the University of the West of England, Hartpury College and the Countryside and Community Research Unit at the University of Gloucestershire.
It is the largest specialist rural research centre in the UK and has expertise in all aspects of research in policy and planning for the countryside and the environment of the UK, Europe and further afield.
The CCRI will build on existing expertise in all three institutions, strengthening regional partnerships. It aims to have a clear client-led focus in the conduct of applied research, postgraduate education, continuing professional training, knowledge exchange and consultancy.
