The Centre for Orthopaedic Biomechanics is a partnership between the Departments of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bath and Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Bristol.
The Centre provides a resource for multidisciplinary research and provides a bridge between engineering and clinical orthopaedics. The laboratory based facilities at Bath accommodate a wide range of research activities relating to total joint replacement including work on specific joints, biomaterials and fracture management.
In addition to supporting the research activities, the Centre also makes a contribution to continuing education and training by hosting specialist courses and workshops.
