The Centre for Synaptic Plasticity is a joint venture between the Medical Research Council and the University of Bristol. Research is directed towards gaining an understanding of synaptic plasticity in both normal and disease states, such as epilepsy. Work is carried out in a multidisciplinary and collaborative manner.
The Centre is based within the School of Medical Sciences, which contains a large neuroscience community enjoying a state-of-the-art research environment. Industrial collaborators have taken place with Eli Lilly & Co, GlaxoSmithKline, Merck, Sharpe & Dohme, Novartis and Pfizer.
