The Centre for Excellence in Media Practice (CEMP) is a research and innovation centre based in the Media School at Bournemouth University. It is engaged in advanced pedagogical research in media practice, creating original systems and tools to meet fresh technological challenges.

CEMP is leading initiatives to address the need for:

• Agile and tailored CPD programmes for the existing workforce, including enhanced management and leadership courses
• New pedagogic approaches to produce innovative practitioners with a real understanding of the potential of new technologies and media convergence
• Tools, structures and mechanisms to support radically new personalised modes of study, building on the participative and collaborative nature of the world-wide web

All of CEMP's work is underpinned by research, with the relationship between learning and creativity at the heart of the research agenda.
