The main focus of research at the Centre for Fine Print Research (CFPR) concerns the development of quality fine print. While this development is primarily undertaken from a fine art perspective, the centre is equally comfortable with conducting research from an industrial point of view.

The CFPR’s activities span the various disciplines within the field of art and design. Recent examples of research have included the appraisal and development of water based screenprinting ink, as well as work on artist quality digital output, with a particular emphasis on wide format printing.
During the 10 years of its existence the CFPR has gained a reputation as a centre of excellence with both the international print community and industry.
