A partnership between University College Falmouth, Cornwall College and Truro College, Cornwall Skillset Media Academy has been established as a centre of excellence in the design and delivery of practice-based media education and training.
The Academy celebrates innovation and creativity through the close collaboration between education and business, building on strong existing partnerships of broadcasters, training organisations and media production companies.
It is positioned to fully exploit opportunities within markets, networks and communities, and reshape the fabric of the media industries in the South West. The substantial European Union support for this initiative enables applied high value media research, innovation and enterprise activity to be drawn into the region from around the world.
The Academy is forward-thinking, outward facing and brings together creative excellence with emerging digital technologies and business skills to create regeneration opportunities in Cornwall.
