Established with the support of University College Falmouth and the Higher Education Innovation Fund, The Writing Centre's mission is to encourage, develop and promote writers and writing of every kind, from fiction and journalism to poetry and copywriting.
It provides a platform for writers throughout the South West and beyond, allowing them to exchange views and experiences, and promote their work. It also acts as a single source of information about the wide variety of writing-related events and news in the region.
The Writing Centre offers services to improve the competitiveness of business and organisations ranging from staff training courses in editing and proofing to finding a suitable writer for a particular project.
As well as developing the resources to offer commercial writing and editing services itself (using the services of trusted writers and editors), The Writing Centre also provides an online marketplace where writers and people looking for writers can meet and negotiate.
