Environmental Technology Centre, University of Plymouth

The Environmental Technology Centre specialises in environmental production or pollution issues. Its key areas of focus are:

• Environmental monitoring and analysis
• Recycling and waste management
• Energy production
• Contaminated land remediation
• Air pollution control and rural environmental issues 
• Energy & water resource efficiency assessment 
• Solutions for waste recycling

Businesses benefit from a single point of contact whilst obtaining access to a wide range of academic knowledge and expertise and assistance with scientific and technological issues through research, product development, quality control, or production issue solutions. The centre delivers its services through a number of different mechanisms. These include:

• Consultancy 
• Short CPD courses and workshops 
• Student placements (for short term projects) 
• Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP)
• PhDs (for long term research projects into complex issues)

In addition to facilitating biological and chemical analysis of specific or environmental problems, the Environmental Technology Centre is active in improving collaborative industry relations.
