Centre for Advanced Sensor Technology, University of Bath

The Centre for Advanced Sensor Technology brings together expertise in microelectronics, optoelectronics and novel materials. The Centre's research looks at:

• Implantable systems for electroneurogram recording
• Electroneurogram signal processing
• Programmable implantable stimulators
• Radio frequency transmitters for transcutaneous links
• Analogue approaches to reduced state Viterbi decoders
• Design and development of guided wave semiconductor optical devices and circuits
• Wide bandgap semiconductor opto-electronics.

Facilitates available at the Centre include a device fabrication clean room, extensive optical and electronic test laboratory and a strong theoretical modelling capability.
