The Foreign Language Centre (FLC) provides a range of language options, including credit-rated language modules for students based in Exeter which can be taken at all levels from beginners to advanced and are currently available in French, German, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese and Spanish.
The FLC also offers general interest language courses on its popular Evening Language Programme. Courses are open to students, staff of the University and members of the public. Levels range from complete beginners to more experienced speakers. In addition to all the languages offered on the credit-rated modules, there are also courses available in other languages such as Arabic, Polish and Russian.
The FLC has three newly refurbished teaching rooms equipped as multimedia language laboratories, and a large self-study Resource Area with networked multimedia PCs and facilities for viewing digital media and online satellite TV, as well as reference books and other language learning materials.
