Launch of University Renewable Energy Expertise brochure
26/11/2004

An Unrivalled Offer - University Renewable Energy Expertise in South West England brochure launched at Renewable Futures Conference.

The Universities of South West England offer an extensive depth and variety of renewable energy expertise through research, teaching and business support activities.

South West England has played a pioneering role in renewable energy development including the oldest commercial wind farm in the UK and the ground-breaking Hot Dry Rocks geothermal energy project. There is strong collaboration between the region's Universities and business in developing the technologies and resources to meet the energy needs of the 21st century.

Accessing the knowledge and expertise within South West England's universities is now even easier thanks to a new brochure outlining the services that Universities can offer to businesses produced in conjunction with RegenSW, the South West renewable energy agency, and launched at the inaugural Renewable Futures Conference in Plymouth on 16th November 2004.

Matthew Spencer, Chief Executive of RegenSW welcomed the brochure - "There are already renewable energy companies who have grown their business using the expertise of South West Universities. It's a quick and easy way to get high calibre input. I'd recommend it to any business that wants to raise its game in this fast growing sector."
