The 2008 HERDA-SW Annual Conference took place on 13th & 14th November 2008, at the Imperial Hotel in Torquay and was a resounding success, with over 180 delegates in attendance.
This year’s event saw presentations from members of the business community; the south west’s Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and from speakers from other regions across the UK. In addition to a packed timetable of action sessions and keynote speeches, delegates were given plenty of opportunities to network with colleagues and even to learn to juggle at a circus skills workshop!
Chaired by David Baker, Principal of UCP Marjon and Chair of the HERDA-SW Strategy Board, we were also pleased to announce at the event the official launch of the RELAYS project and our new business marketing campaign aimed at raising awareness of expertsouthwest.com and the various ways in which HEIs can work with businesses.
