Showcasing the work of emerging choreographers and talented dancers from Cornwall and across the South West, Dance Bites from The Works Dance & Theatre Cornwall is part of Getting Cornwall Dancing - a larger programme of dance development.
Supported by RELAYS the two evenings will take place at the Acorn Arts Centre in Penzance on July 4th and the Port Eliot Festival in East Cornwall on July 25th & 26th - comprising short dance pieces, dance films and works in progress – to form part of The Works’ initiative to support and nurture all forms of dance talent across the region.
Young and emerging dance practitioners putting forward new work for Dance Bites are set to benefit by gaining unique opportunities to show their creative efforts to new audiences as part of an evening of professional work. They will also get to hone their skills, develop new connections and obtain vital feedback from fellow dance practitioners.
Audiences too can enjoy some top quality dance, with something to suit every taste. Dance Bites can be seen at the Acorn Arts Centre in Penzance at 8pm on Saturday 4th July; tickets are £6 or £5 concessions. See www.acornartscentre.co.uk for more information and to book.
The Port Eliot Festival organizers have specially invited the Dance Bites crew to feed dance-hungry audiences during the festival this year, as part of a newly-diverse wealth of art forms on offer. See www.porteliotfestival.com for full details and ticket information.
