To highlight the vital role that our HEIs play in the economic and commercial success of the SW, Universities South West, in partnership with the South West Science and Industry Council and the South West RDA, have jointly produced a new brochure.

‘The individual and collaborative contribution made by universities to the UK’s enterprise culture through skills training, research, CPD and business support is key to the local, regional and national economy. Original thinking and shared good practice by its very nature crosses boundaries; be that in terms of academic disciplines, institutional expertise or administrative areas, ' explains Steve West, Vice-Chancellor of The University of the West of England and Chair of Universities South West. 'What this document demonstrates is the power of partnerships to drive economic and social development. We achieve this regionally and nationally by targeting our collaborative resources on areas that have the most positive impact on our students, business and the community. Through our partnership activities there is so much more potential to transform lives and build on the momentum of our knowledge economy, delivering on a range of core government priorities.’
