Shell Award Framework
The Shell Award Framework for the South West region is a scheme which, subject to validation by the University of the West of England (UWE), offers a method for the accreditation of in-company training and other 'bite-size' learning. This will be undertaken in the context of employment, voluntary activity or future career aspirations.
The framework will act as a shell within which specific pieces of accredited higher learning from across South West England can be located and accumulated leading to defined higher education awards.
In addition, the framework aims to facilitate the accumulation of credit from more than one higher education provider into higher education qualifications and revolutionise the way that HE can be delivered to business.
