Higher Impact

Higher Impact - a HEFCE-funded programme supported under HEIF is designed to increase productivity, profits and jobs in far South West England (Dorset, Devon and Cornwall), and was a sister project to KESW. The project drew on the vast knowledge resources contained within the region's universities and colleges.

The Higher Impact project was a great success with the seven project partners collectively exceeding all agreed output targets.  Most notably, 138 business fellowship projects were undertaken against a target of 120, generating an impressive £7m of gross value added to business against a target of £6m.  The final reports provided further detail of the project's achievements and include some specific examples of business fellowship projects and other collaborative activities.

The project ran for three years and officially ended on 31 January 2005.  It is likely that GVA impact will continue to be generated beyond the life of the project .
