‘Proof of Concept’ award scheme

The ‘Proof of Concept’ award scheme is a small fund aligned to the HEFCE Strategic Aims that allows our Groups and the Executive Committee to bid for resource to develop strategically collaborative projects across the region. 

Awards are small, typically up to £10k, and are designed to enable Groups to explore ideas further, and to take the idea from concept to the next stage – e.g. producing a business plan, applying for seed-corn or follow-on finance.

Projects that received funding are:

• Corporate Social Responsibility
• studysouthwest
• Libraries Business Information Service
• Regional Promotion Campaign
• Healthy Universities study
• Student Alcohol use

The fund is now closed to applications.
