About Relays
Delivered through 3 engagement strands: Sport, Culture and Business Support, RELAYS aims to engage with a broad audience, inspiring and up-skilling young people in all areas of the community.
The Sport strand, delivered through schools, hub clubs and universities, is delivered through coaching, mentoring and teaching. It is led by three school sports co-ordinators at the University of Plymouth, University of Bristol and Bournemouth University and three Sport Development Officers and staff at University College Plymouth St Mark and St John, University of Bath and University Gloucestershire.

The Culture strand is led by three RELAYS Cultural Co-ordinators based at University College Falmouth, Bath Spa University and The Arts University College at Bournemouth and partners at the Works, Watershed, Lyme Regis Development Trust, SW Screen, Creative Skills and SW Tourism. Its aim is to create new, and build upon existing, festivals and events in order to create a selection of exciting and lasting events.

The Business strand works alongside businesses working in the cultural, sporting and health industries and undertake research into the impact of sport, physical activity and culture on health and well-being. Business Engagement is led by two Business Fellows and two PhD students based at the University of Exeter and University of the West of England (UWE).
