Name: Kim Chang - Business Fellow, University of the West of England
Description:
I have been involved in sport for the majority of my career, having worked for several of the world's largest sporting events including the 2000 Olympic & Paralympic Games, 2001 Goodwill Games, 2001 British & Irish Lions Tour and the 2003 Rugby World Cup.  My sport of choice is rugby union and I have been fortunate enough to have worked for the Australian Rugby Union, New South Wales Rugby Union and the Queensland Rugby Union.  As you can guess I am originally from Australia but a recent personal sport highlight was representing England at the 2011 Touch Rugby World Cup.

I have a Bachelors degree in, sport management & tourism from Griffith University (Australia) and also hold a Masters of Management degree from Macquarie University (Australia).

My role within the RELAYS team is to ensure that businesses in South West England take full advantage of the opportunities which arise from the London 2012 Games.  This could be through supplying the food and drinks to the 2012 athletes, sponsoring or volunteering within local sport and cultural programmes or making sure businesses are prepared for the impacts of the games.

Having been involved with the Sydney 2000 Games, I feel very passionately that the UK makes the most of every opportunity which stems from London 2012, take it from me....it really is a once in a lifetime opportunity.  As the Latin saying says, Carpe diem....seize the day!
